Jon England's "Retro Piano Pops" Concert/Show, Avon Public Library

A uniquely entertaining thrill-ride through the new Jon England ("London's Liberace") CD album "Retro Piano Pops".

So-named as the 20 mega-hits are drawn from the Orchestral-Pops melodic
archive of the last 50 years when instrumental million-sellers filled
the airwaves ... in the days when folks actually listened to the broadcast radio on a wireless, instead of an iPod or mp3 player!

Earning his "Showmanship" sobriquet
through his dazzlingly-dextrous approach to the Piano (ie: using every
note the instrument has!) and his individually-connective interactivity
with his audience, British-born (and now West Simsbury resident) Jon
takes hits from Floyd Cramer, Roger Williams, Liberace, Scott Joplin,
Eddy Duchin, Simon and Garfunkel, Bread, Silver Screen and Broadway
must-haves, and re-interprets them in a decidedly exotic fashion,
unapologetically paying tribute to the pre-American Idol days when the
'tune' was more important than postulating in shockingly-minimalist
clothing and off-stage tabloid-hungry antics!

Join Jon for about
90-minutes of flamboyant Keyboard-alchemy the like of which you'll not
likely have experienced before, or after hearing "Retro Piano Pops".
