Memorial Day Parade Simsbury

Parades are scheduled for Tariffville (step-off at 9
AM)
and Simsbury (step off at 1:30 PM) on Monday, May 26. Veterans of all conflicts, from all countries, from all services are urged to join this year’s parades or make other contributions.

The hope is that more Veterans will join the parades
either as marchers or as riders. It is especially important that those
Veterans who wish to ride in a classic car, rather than march, sign up for the
Simsbury parade soon.

Veterans who wish to be riders should call Ray Jennings
at 860-658-1034 or Hap Poole at 860-658-4390. Any organizations wishing to join
the parade must make arrangements with parade co-chairman Bob Gauthier at
860-658-2071.

Veterans and others are urged to park in the area behind First Church and Boy Scout
Hall to take advantage of the shuttle service, which will start at
NOON
.

Those participating in the Simsbury parade will gather
at the intersection of Owens Brook Boulevard and Hopmeadow Street, near the
Simsbury Bank. The parade will travel south, to end at Wilcox Street, where
participants are urged to join those congregating for the memorial service in
front of Eno Memorial Hall.
