Progressive Animal Wellness to Host 3rd Annual Mini Pet Expo, Raise Money for Fidelco
To thank the community for its continued support that has helped Progressive Animal Wellness (PAW) grow over the past three years, PAW will host its 3rd Annual Mini Pet Expo on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 2-5 p.m.
Raising money for Fidelco, the event will feature Canine Massage by Marissa Squires of Dogology, a training presentation by Ben Braunstein of Dogology, a reptile demonstration by Harris in Wonderland, photo session by RJS Photography, a puppy kissing booth with puppies from Boot ‘n Kit Canine Rescue, freestyle canine dance demonstration by Unleashed Dance Company, Grooming Guidance by Doggy Do’s, education stations by the PAW staff, and a teacup auction for prizes from local businesses such as Brownstone Bakery for Dogs, Green Dog Market, Dogology, and WAGS.
“While our annual Pet Expo is something we love to do for pets and their humans in our community, we are truly honored to have the ability to raise money for charities that help both people and animals,” says Corey Shagensky, DVM, owner of PAW. “In previous years, we have been fortunate to support such initiatives as the Waggin’ for Wheels campaign to help purchase a new Animal Control vehicle for Avon and Canton and Connecticut Canine Search and Rescue (CCSAR). This year, Fidelco is our beneficiary.” Helping people through the pet human bond, Fidelco has worked to provide the blind and visually impaired increased independence with the use of guide dogs since 1960. Fidelco will have both a trainer and volunteer puppy raiser at the event, along with a dog in training.
The first 50 people to arrive at PAW’s Mini Pet Expo will receive gift bags. Refreshments will be served. Progressive Animal Wellness is located in the Fairways Plaza on Route 44 in Avon.
