Simsbury Artist's Work on Display at Duncaster Starting September 1

The
Duncaster Art Gallery will be showcasing a new exhibit from Simsbury artist Rita
Bond during September.  The Bloomfield
retirement community will host a free, public opening reception of the works of
the Bond Exhibit on Sunday, September 1 at 4 pm.  It will include a presentation at 4:30 by the
artist where she will discuss her work.  The exhibit is open to the public Monday
through Sunday from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. through the month of September.



Rita
Bond, a longtime resident of Simsbury, works primarily in oils, acrylics and
pastels.  In 2009, she founded Simsbury
Open Studios, an association of Simsbury artists. She is an Associate Member of
the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, and a member of the West Hartford Art
League and the Avon Art Association.  She
studies under Frank Federico and Ilona Levitz of the West Hartford Art League.  Previously she studied drawing at the Boston
Museum of Fine Arts, with Eric Aho in Vermont and Camille Przewodek at the Cape
Cod School of Art.

Attendance
at the Opening Reception is free and open to the public, but advanced
registration is required. Visitors are also welcome to visit the exhibit daily from
9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. through the month of September. For more information or
