Anthony began his career in the United States Navy in the Nuclear Engineering Division. Anthony started with the Town of Simsbury on Monday January 6, 2014.

JoAnn Martin (Executive Secretary to the First Selectman): JoAnn is joining us from the Town of Canton, CT where she most recently worked as the Executive Assistant to Chief Administrative Officer. JoAnn has had extensive experience as an Office Manager in municipal government as well as private industry over a 30 year career. JoAnn’s first day is Thursday January 16, 2014.

Jeff Shea (Town Engineer): Jeff is joining us from the Town of Canton, CT where he most recently worked as the Town’s Project Administrator providing capitol project administration for the Town and Board of Education. As a Civil Engineer Jeff has had extensive experience in Public Works and City Engineering. He gained 20 years of experience working for The City of Hartford Public Works Department where he held various roles including Assistant Director, Manager of Planning and Design, and the Executive Officer to the City Engineer. His first day will begin on January 22, 2014.

Director of Finance/Treasurer Interviews:  We still have one more key position to fill.  The Town will hold its first round of interviews for the Director of Finance/Treasurer position on Wednesday, January 15, 2014.  We hope to be in a position to extend an offer to the successful candidate before the end of January.  We are fortunate to have Sean Kimball leading this year’s budget process as Interim Finance Director.
