FVJC-ES Fundraiser at Flatbread Pizza Company

SIMSBURY, CT – On Tuesday, April 3, take a musical journey “From Pop to Broadway,” with Cantor Mark Perman at the Flatbread Pizza Company, 110 Albany Turnpike, in the Farmington Valley Shoppes. Cantor Perman will perform from 7-8 p.m. From the hours of 5-9 p.m., a portion of all proceeds -- both dine-in and take-out -- will benefit the Farmington Valley Jewish Congregation-Emek Shalom (FVJC-ES) Temple Library.

Originally from Brooklyn and raised in Manhattan, Cantor Perman is a 1986 graduate of New York University. In 1982, he graduated New York City's "famed" High School of Performing Arts. As a child, he performed on Broadway in “Shenandoah,” toured with TheatreWorks USA, and appeared in commercials. He was inspired to become more spiritual and “Jewishly connected” through his years of participation at B’nai Jeshurun in Manhattan. He has also toured both the New Jersey and Atlanta areas with his one-man show "Bima to Broadway" which combines different styles from both the synagogue and theatrical worlds.

Farmington Valley Jewish Congregation-Emek Shalom is a member of the Union for Reform Judaism. The synagogue -- located in Simsbury -- serves the Farmington Valley and surrounding communities including West Hartford, Bloomfield, Barkhamstead, Bristol, Burlington, Harwinton, New Britain, Southington, and Winsted.
