Progressive Animal Wellness to Host Anniversary Mini Pet Expo

To celebrate its first year in business and thank the community for its support, Progressive Animal Wellness (PAW) in Avon will host a Mini Pet Expo on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 2-5 p.m.  The fundraising event will feature “Canine & Me” massages by Certified Canine Massage Therapist Marissa Squires and Simsbury Therapeutic Massage & Wellness (10 massage sessions will be available on a first come, first served basis); behavioral consults and slip lead dog walking demonstration by Ben Braunstein; tours of the new Avon/Canton Animal Control van; a puppy kissing booth; grooming guidance by Doggie Do’s; samples of fresh treats by Brownstone Bakery for Dogs; and pet care educational stations.  Drawings will be held for multiple gift baskets and prizes including gift certificates from Muddy Paws Studios, Doggie Do’s, Green Dog Market, Aussie Pet Mobile of Farmington Valley, and PAW.  All money raised will be donated to Paw Meadow Dog Park in Simsbury and Gifts of Love in Avon.  The event is open to people and their pets – the first 50 people in attendance will receive free reusable bags filled with goodies and treats from Wholesome Animal Grocery Store (WAGS).  Refreshments will be served.  For more information, visit PAW at www.progressiveanimalwellness.com, connect with PAW on Facebook (www.facebook.com/ProgressiveAnimalWellness) and Twitter (@progressivevet), or call (860) 325-2124.
