In October 2012, Simsbury resident Eric Barch created a GoFundMe project to help raise money for his Eagle Scout project.
The project was to build a wooden walkway and platform at the Community Farm of Simsbury and in December of this year, the project was completed.
The Community Farm of Simsbury posted a photo and note on its Facebook page on Dec. 6: "Way to go Eric Barch! The finishing touches on boardwalk Eagle Scout Project."
The last donation received was one month ago. As of Dec. 12, Barch has collected $2,676 out of $3,600 goal.
