Halloween Candy Buybacks Near Simsbury

All Hallow's Eve is behind us but the candy may remain for much longer! Here's info on how to offload extra candy for a cause.

Local dental offices are collecting candy as part of a Halloween candy buyback.

The donated candy will benefit Operation Gratitude and will be sent to troops serving overseas. All candy donations are welcome, including leftover candy not handed out.

Dentist Mitchell S. Katz's Avon office is collecting Halloween candy as part of a Halloween candy buyback program. Children will receive $2 for every pound of candy given, up to 5 lbs., according to Katz's website. The buyback will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at 111 Simsbury Rd., Avon.

Blue Back Dental, 65 Memorial Rd. #400, West Hartford, is also participating. The buyback will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4. Children will receive $1 for every pound of candy they bring in (up to 5 lbs.) plus a surprise gift.

No Simsbury dental offices were listed on the Halloween candy buyback website, but if you know of one participating, let us know in the comments section!
