Found - Female Mixed Breed White and Black Dog - 2/2/2014 Terry's Plain Road

A mixed breed small female dog was found in Simsbury. No one has claimed her. If you know who owns her or want info about adopting her, contact Animal Control Officer Mark Rudewicz in Simsbury on Monday.

This scared medium-sized female dog was picked up this weekend on Terrys Plain Rd in Simsbury.  No collar, no microchip. She is being held the required 7 days and if not claimed she will be up for adoption through Officer Mark Rudewicz of Simsbury Police Dept.  This dog was very skittish, but has warmed up after some time and treats.  She is a young dog with lots of energy who would benefit from training. Secret Lake Dog Training, LLC is offering a free training session to the dog and whomever adopts her. Details of the training session will be discussed with her new owners. As a Simsbury business owner, this is a way I can give back to the community! No idea how long she has been out running, but she may have been dumped on that road because search efforts have been underway for a missing Beagle/Bassett name Ben and whoever dumped this girl figured she would be picked up by searchers.  Ben a male dog is still missing. If you know who owns this female dog who looks like she may have some Jack Russell Terrier in her or if you are interested in adopting her, contact Simsbury Animal Control Officer Mark Rudewicz at 860 658-3110.
