What You Need to Know Before Joint Replacement Surgery

Robyn Ligotti, PT, DPT, McLean Director of Post-Acute Services, will speak on What You Need to Know before Joint Replacement Surgery on Wednesday, September 18 at 5:00 PM at the Burkholder Community Center, McLean Village, 100 Sarah Lane, Simsbury.

Dr. Ligotti is recognized as an expert on rehabilitation after joint replacement surgery. The focus of her workshop will be the different options for therapy after surgery, including both physical and occupational therapies. She will explain the choices between outpatient, home care and post-acute rehab, to provide information for you to discuss with your physician – to determine together what’s right for you.

The information will include what to expect from therapy and what the rehab process is expected to be after surgery. She will also share very practical suggestions for preparing the home for your return after hospitalization.
