This Friday Night - "Simsbury Takes Manhattan" Comedy and Music!

The Simsbury Friends for Music is sponsoring an open-to-the-public fundraiser to benefit the Henry James Memorial School orchestra program.  "Simsbury Takes Manhattan" will start at 6:00 p.m. on March 28 in the school’s cafeteria. The evening will feature live music, pizza and dessert, a silent auction and a great night of comedy by SeaTea Improv, Connecticut’s premiere sketch comedy troupe.

The fundraiser will benefit the 7th and 8th grade orchestras and help underwrite a trip to the New York City Orchestra Festival and provide scholarship monies. Tickets for this great event are still available and can be bought at the door.  Cost is $20 per adult and $15 per student, but if the purchaser uses the password “Intonation,” $5.00 will be taken off each ticket.  Cash or a check made out to Simsbury Friends for Music accepted.  Children under age 4 are free.

In addition to the music and comedy, the planning committee has organized a fantastic silent auction.  Items range from mani/pedis to personal training sessions and include meals at local restaurants, rounds of golf, fly fishing and music lessons, scarves and jewelry, spa days, wine, a Flamig Farm hayride, bowling, and much more!  (Cash or check accepted for auction items).

The planning committee is most appreciative of the support of the following businesses and individuals: Sea Tea Improv, Fitzgerald's, The Hodson Family, Susan Arsenault-Abigail's, Metro Bis, JoAnna Ferrari Beernaert, Avon Old Farms Hotel, Hartford Symphony, Martocchio's, L Designs, The Hair Gallery, Classic Nails, Sarah's Nails, Twinkle Salon, Kidz Kutz, Sarah Byrnes, Bill Selig, Rock n' Bowl, The Rehm Family, Tru Value, Horan's Flowers, Millwrights, Pomodoro Pizza & The Daoud Family, Ellen Richard, Susan Guazelli, Starbucks, Roosters, Storrs Adventure Park, Holloways Appliance, Pixie Photography, MJR Photography, Subway, Little City Pizza, Harvest, Hop Meadow Country Club, Joe Pizza, Kane's, Valley Wine, Peachwave, TCBY, Mrs. Reisler, Mr. Ford, Johnson Strings, Music Adventure-Eric Dahlin, Katie Kennedy, Starbucks, Orvis, Flaming Farms, Kevin Edwards Jewelers, Simsbury Inn, Marni Luby, Le Bel Espirit Spa, Jared Gardner, Millwrights, Necker's Toyland, Music & Arts Avon, Villari's, Cuts for Peanuts-Karen Holmes, Scrap & Stamp Nest, Tru Value, Brooke Schoffstall, Holloway's Appliance and Ieke Scully.
