McLean fills Director of Marketing and Sales Role

Elizabeth Marquis takes the helm after longtime Vice President of Marketing, Freddi Hoffmann retires.

McLean recently announced Elizabeth Marquis has joined the McLean Community as Director of Marketing and Sales when Freddi Hoffmann retired after 12 years with McLean.

As the pair completed the hand-over, President David Bordonaro, offered a sentimental and heartfelt thanks. “We are so proud of our past, our commitment to the town of Simsbury and area seniors. We are very grateful for Freddi’s contribution to our growth over the past several years. We wish her well on her next chapter, as we look forward to an exciting future for McLean.”

Marquis brings extensive experience in marketing, digital marketing, public relations and advertising to the role. Most recently with Forethought Financial Group and The Hartford, Marquis perfected her skills in corporate communications, digital marketing strategies and traditional marketing media.

Her connection to McLean began five years ago when she and business partner, Sarah Leathers, started a move management company called ManageMyMove in their spare time. Addressing the challenges that sometimes come with moving, ManageMyMove helped families in the area transition from longtime family homes to retirement communities such as McLean by providing assistance with floor plans, dispersing family heirlooms and furnishings, and helping families get acclimated to their new surroundings. “Moving can be overwhelming,” said Marquis. “Questions such as ‘What do I do with all of my stuff?’ and even harder, ‘How do I know when I’m ready to move?’ are common questions to ask. The best part for me is when someone makes the transition and knows they’ve made the right choice. That is what I’m looking forward to most here at McLean – joining a team that is dedicated to helping families get the support and care they need, to make the right choice at the right time.”

Marquis will fulfill marketing, public relations and sales duties alongside a team of associates. A seven-year resident of West Simsbury, along with her husband Francois and two boys Andrew and Griffin, she looks forward to upholding McLean’s reputation as a valuable resource in the Farmington Valley. “McLean is a pillar of the Simsbury community and an exceptional option for seniors looking for a supportive environment for healthy aging. I am excited to be joining such a vibrant and welcoming group.”
