We are seeking mature, caring individuals to volunteer with our Hospice program.  Volunteers visit patients and families in their homes, apartments or in nursing facilities to provide companionship, a listening ear, and a caring presence.  We also often need volunteer assistance with office administrative and clerical duties. We can help you to find the best way to give of your time and talents when volunteering with McLean Hospice.

All volunteers who support McLean Hospice must successfully complete an initial 20-hour training program. The training will be a combination of online self-study and classroom training.  We ask individuals who have experienced a significant personal loss within the past year, or who are actively grieving any personal loss, to postpone their participation for at least one year.

McLean Hospice serves the Farmington Valley and surrounding towns of Bloomfield, Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, West Hartford and Windsor.   We are especially interested in volunteers who are willing to travel to these towns in our service area that surround the Farmington Valley.
