Local Jewelry Store to Give Away Pearl Necklaces to Honor Military Fiancés, Moms & Wives

April 22, 2014 - WINDSOR, Conn.  – For the 5th year in a row, Bill Selig Jewelers and The William J. Selig Sr. Foundation will be giving away pearl necklaces to the mothers and spouses of active-duty soldiers at their locations in Windsor and Simsbury on Saturday, May 10, 2014.

We wanted to come up with a way of thanking military families for their sacrifices, which are overlooked day-to-day,” said Sharran Selig Bennett, Vice President of Bill Selig Jewelers. “We all just seem to go about our business, and we do forget about the wives, daughters, children of the veterans, the soldiers that are over there fighting.”

The Selig family asks that mothers and spouses of military troops bring a photograph and personal note about "their soldier."
