Arrests Made in Summer Car Burglaries

Four people were arrest. Three are juveniles.

A spate of car break ins in town during the summer has resulted in four arrests.

The Simsbury Police Department has arrested one adult and three individuals under the age of 17 in connection with these break ins.

Arrested on November 18, was Jacob D. Greene, 19, of 643 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury. He was charged with eight counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of fifth-degree larceny, and six counts of sixth-degree larceny.

The three minors were charged with a total of 14 counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of fifth-degree larceny and 12 counts of sixth-degree larceny.

The degree for the larceny charges is determined by the value of the item taken.

“They’ll all be charged in juvenile court and face the consequences,” said Lt. Frederick Sifodaskalakis.
