Avon Man, Simsbury Woman Injured in Head-On Crash

Marjorie Eldridge, 53, of Three Harriet Lane injured Wednesday.

An Avon man was taken by LifeStar to Hartford Hospital Wednesday night following a head-on crash in New Hartford with a Simsbury woman.

According to published reports, Christopher Dwyer, 31, of Lovely St., Avon, was on Route 44 just before 8 p.m. Wednesday when he collided with Marjorie Eldridge, 53, of Three Harriet Lane in Simsbury. Eldridge was reportedly driving a Ford Excursion.

Dwyer had be cut out of his 1999 Subaru Impreza by firefighters and was taken to Hartford Hospital with a broken neck, a broken foot, head pain and a head laceration, according to the Register Citizen.

Eldridge was taken by ambulance to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital complaining of neck and body pain.
