Court Appearance for Christopher Berman Continued a Second Time

Christopher Berman is charged with causing severe physical injuries to his infant son.

A pre-trial court appearance for a Simsbury man charged with causing physical injuries to his infant son was continued for a second time on Wednesday.

Christopher R. Berman, 29, of Simsbury is being held on several charges involving two separate incidents when he allegedly caused physical injuries to his infant son.

Berman was scheduled to appear for a pre-trial hearing on Wednesday but the trial was continued until Jan. 7, according to court records. Berman's case was continued the first time on Nov. 20.

Berman has obtained legal counsel, according to court records. Public Defender John R. Delbarba was assigned to the case. Delbarba could not be reached for comment.

Berman is currently being held on a $250,000 bond.
