Four Simsbury Teens Charged in Church Burglaries

Simsbury Police say two separate burglaries don't appear to be connected.

 

Four Simsbury teens have been charged in two separate church burglaries earlier this week.

At approximately 3 a.m. on Monday Officer Michael Webster discovered two males attempting to burglarize in Tariffville, according to a release.

Police arrested Michael P. Nay, 19, of 126 Old Canal Way in Weatogue and a 17-year-old juvenile male and charged them with conspiracy to commit third degree burglary and third degree criminal mischief. The 17-year-old was also charged with possession of "burglar tools", the release said.

On May 29, 2012, the was burglarized and vandalized, according to police. Two suspects were arrested within 12 hours of the incident.

Semir Fatic, 19, of 6 West Street in Simsbury and a 17-year-old female were arrested and charged with third degree burglary, first degree criminal mischief,  and third degree larceny and possession of "burglar tools," according to the release.
