Golf Tournament will Benefit Connecticut Burns Care Foundation

The 14th Annual Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary golf tournament will be held on June 14.

The Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary are looking for golfers and sponsors for their 14th Annual Golf Tournament on Thursday, June 14 at Blue Fox Run Golf Course, 65 Nod Road, Avon.

Sponsorship information and a registration form for players may be downloaded at www.simsburyfd.org.  Anyone interested may also call 860‑658‑1971 or email svfclagolf@hotmail.com.  The cost per player to register by May 25 is $125.00 or $150.00 after that, which includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, a foursome photo, a sleeve of golf balls and a gift bag.  Also included is a hot lunch, dinner and an awards ceremony.  Guest dinner tickets may be purchased for $35.00. 

Registration begins at 8:30 am with a shotgun start at 10:00 am.  The cocktail hour, dinner and awards ceremony will begin at the completion of the tournament, at approximately 3:30 pm.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Connecticut Burns Care Foundation, which sponsors the Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp each summer, the Fire Company’s Lieutenant Richard Kelleher Memorial Scholarship and the Bowman Kerr Ladies Auxiliary Scholarship, Fire Company safety, firefighting and educational equipment and the Ladies Auxiliary's Burn Buddy program which gives stuffed bears to local hospitals for use in treating children.
