Henry James Teacher Resigns After Arrest

The resignation is slated to be formally accepted at the board of education meeting Tuesday.

The board of education is expected to formally accept the resignation of science teacher Michael Carrier at its meeting Tuesday.

Carrier, who had been a teacher at Henry James for two years, was arrested in Hartford. He submitted his resignation and it became effective Sept. 8.

Parents received a letter over the weekend informing them of the resignation, which comes a week after the start of school. The letter states that the school will be filling the position as soon as it can.
