“We have made crossing guards and all staff aware of the description of the suspect and vehicle,” wrote Jones. “Please remind your children to be aware of their surroundings when they are walking or when they are riding their bikes to or from school. We urge you as parents to have a discussion with your children about strangers. Make sure they use the Three R's (run, remember, and report) if they are approached. It is particularly important for children to report such incidents to an adult immediately. Also, please make sure your children know whom they should contact if you are not at home. Here at Squadron Line, we are reviewing all of these cautionary steps with our students.”
