NTSB Releases Probable Cause of Plane Crash on Onion Mountain

The National Transportation Safety Board has released its probable cause in relation to a plane crash that claimed the life of Donald and Josephine Derocher of Live Oak, FL. 

The accident occurred on the Canton side of Onion Mountain the night of Nov. 19, 2012. Donald was piloting the plane, which was headed to Simsbury airport. The couple had family in the area. 

The report states the pilot descended too early and may have mistaken nearby parking lot lights as the airport.
