Second Man Arrested in Simsbury for May Armed Robbery and Shooting

Simsbury police made the arrest Thursday.

Simsbury police have arrested a second man for the armed robbery and shooting at Wolcott Woods Condominiums in Simsbury on Monday, May 19, NBC Connecticut reports.

The suspect is Jevon Collins, 28, of 19 Harper Street. He will be chargd with first-degree threatening, first-degree accessory to assault and conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery according to WFSB.

Police found the victim of the shooting in the parking lot following several 911 calls, including one from the victim himself according to NBC Connecticut. He was taken to hospital and survived the shooting.

NBC Connecticut reports that the police previously arrested Alexander Rivera, 20, also of Hartford, for the robbery and shooting. Rivera is being held on $500,000 bond and is due in court on June 24.

Collin is expected to appear in court on Thursday. His bond is set at $250,000 WFSB reports.
