The 10-week program begins in February

Are you a fan of the television show CSI: Crime Scene Investigation? Well, it won’t be exactly like that, but the is once again hosting its Citizens’ Police Academy and part of the program includes discussing crime scene investigation. Participants will get an accurate idea of what crime scene investigation is like in the real world.

There are lots of other topics covered in the 10-week course as well — from use of force to arrest procedures.

This will be the department’s 11th annual Citizens’ Police Academy, which starts in February and finishes in April. The program will be held from 7 to 9pm on Thursday evenings in the Simsbury Police Department. Chief Peter N. Ingvertsen invites Simsbury residents and business owners, who are 21 years of age or older, to apply. The class size will be restricted to 15 individuals.
