Simsbury Crews Help At Canton Accident Scene

Crews from Simsbury were on hand in Canton Friday morning after an accident between a pickup truck and school bus at Route 44 and Secret Lake Road. 

The driver of the truck was transported to an area hospital via Life Star. Simsbury and Canton firefighters extricated the driver with the aid of Holmatro tools.   

A child riding in the truck was also transported to Saint Francis Hospital by Simsbury Volunteer Ambulance.

Simsbury police officers also helped at the scene.

Canton Police said the injuries do not appear life threatening.
