Simsbury Firefighters Find Man Dead at Talcott Mountain

No foul play is suspected but police are investigating.

A 25-year-old man was found dead at the bottom of Talcott Mountain in Simsbury Saturday evening after he was reported missing.

Around 4 p.m. Saturday, officials received a call around 4 p.m. reporting the 25-year-old man was missing on the mountain. 

Simsbury police and firefighters, along with State Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP) officers responded. Members of the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company found the man's body at the base of the mountain, beneath the ledges, around 5 p.m., according to a DEEP spokesman.   

No foul play is suspected but DEEP EnCon Police are continuing the investigation.
