Two Simsbury residents were involved in a single car crash that killed the driver of the vehicle.

Simsbury Police have identified the two individuals involved in a fatal crash on Owens Brook Boulevard early Wednesday morning.

Police dispatchers received several 911 calls from residents about a car crash at approximately 12:42 a.m. on Wednesday in the area of Horseshoe Circle on Owens Brook Boulevard. First responders arrived to find a single vehicle 'resting on the roof,' police said.

22-year-old Douglas Hesketh, of Simsbury, was the driver of the vehicle and Michael D. Nathan, also of Simsbury, was the passenger. Hesketh died from injuries sustained during the accident at Saint Francis Hospital.

A resident who lives close the site of the accident told Patch the crash "seemed to go on forever."
