[Update] Simsbury Police Search for Robbery Suspect

The suspect allegedly robbed at knifepoint the Sunrise Convenience Store on Hopmeadow Street.

[Original story] Simsbury police are searching for a man who reportedly robbed the Sunrise Convenience Store at knifepoint on Thursday evening.

The man left the store at 1225 Hopmeadow St. with cash in an unknown vehicle, police said.

Police said that the suspect is described as either a "white or Hispanic male" about 5-feet-4, in his 30s, with a dark mustache, wearing blue jeans, white shoes, a black shirt and a tan baseball hat.

He was also described as having tattoos on both forearms and on the side of his neck, police said.
