Simsbury police have charged Christopher S. Lyons, 49, of 10-J Massaco St., with first-degree Possession of Child Pornography.
Lyons was held on $750,000 bond.
The investigation was primarily conducted by the Connecticut Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force with assistance from the Avon and Simsbury Police Departments, Capt. Nicholas Boulter said.
An Avon officer sits on that task force and conducted much of the investigation, he added.
Lyons was charged after a search of his residence Wednesday morning and did not resist arrest, police said.
Police did not release details of the investigation but added that it is ongoing.
Unless he posts bail, Lyons will likely be arraigned in Enfield Superior Court Thursday.
