Simsbury Residents Injured in New Hartford Crash

Two Simsbury residents remain hospitalized after a single-car crash on Friday.

Two Simsbury residents remain hospitalized after an accident in New Hartford late Friday night, a Metropolitan District Commission spokeswoman said.

Frank Boucher, 28 of West Simsbury and Victoria Baltronis, 25 of  Simsbury, were listed in fair condition early Monday afternoon, a Hartford Hospital spokeswoman said.

The two were injured while passengers in a jeep that crashed into a tree on Farnam Road, a dirt road on MDC property, spokeswoman Kerry E. Martin said.

Both were flown to the hospital via Life Star.

The operator of the Jeep, Brett Caswell, 28 of Simsbury and passenger and passenger Kimberly Avery, 26, of W. Simsbury were both treated and released at area hospitals after being transported by ambulance.

Kyle Avery, 22, of Windsor, was also in the vehicle but declined treatment, Martin said.

The group was cited by MDC for trespassing on the property and the accident remains under investigation, Martin said.
