Simsbury VFC Promotes Jason Gilbert to Captain

Gilbert joined the fire company as a cadet in 1997.

Chief James Baldis of the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company has announced the promotion of Lieutenant Jason Gilbert to Captain at Firetown station. 

Gilbert was previously assigned to Main station. He has been an adviser to the fire company’s cadet program. Last fall the cadets took the top prize, Best Overall Performance, in the Explorer & Junior Fire Fighter Muster & Challenge, a statewide competition. 

Gilbert joined the fire company as a cadet in 1997.

With the promotion of Gilbert, Lt. Andrew Gaines moved from West Simsbury station to Main station.
