Stuff-A-Cruiser — Success

The event, held Dec. 14, collected food and toys for those in need.


The Simsbury Police Department held the 11th annual Stuff-A-Cruiser toy and food drive to benefit the Salvation Army of Greater Hartford. It was held at Stop & Shop located at 498 Bushy Hill Road in Simsbury Commons on Wednesday December 14, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The event was a success with 97 boxes of toys collected, 27 bags of food and about $400 in donations, and it's still coming in, said Lt. Nicholas Boulter.

Many members of the Simsbury Police Department directly participated in the event, such as Patrolman First Class (PFC) John Mimnaugh, PFC Gary Gray, PFC and School Resource Officer Bradford Chase, Animal Control Officer Mark Rudewicz, Officers Michael Lantiere and Jason Terribile and members of the Simsbury Police Explorer Post 128.
