Stating that it's both a chance to showcase the area's beauty and spruce up her online presence, U.S. Rep. Elizabeth Esty is sponsoring a 5th District photo contest.
“We’re very lucky to live in a part of the state that’s home to uniquely beautiful locations and scenery, and this is a great opportunity to show the rest of the country just how beautiful our part of Connecticut is, connect with constituents, and spruce up my website and Facebook page at the same time," Esty said. "The response has been great. Folks have already sent a lot of spectacular photos that we’re going to keep posting over the next days and weeks.”
Send photos, along with name, town and location to estyphotocontest@gmail.com. Images could be used on the web site, facebook page or e-newsletters.
The contest ends Aug. 9 and winners will be announced on Aug. 12.
