First Ever Simsbury Senior Summit Postponed Due to Weather
With the storm coming in tomorrow afternoon, the event will be rescheduled.
In a letter sent out by the Deputy First Selectman, it was announced that the first Simsbury Senior Summit will have to be postponed due to fears about the inclement weather predicted for tomorrow afternoon.
It read:
"Due to the inclement weather forecasted for tomorrow afternoon, we have decided to POSTPONE the 2012 Simsbury Senior Summit. We certainly do not want to jeopardize the safety and well-being of attendees --- especially our senior citizens -- so we will choose a date in the near future when snow is not a factor."

The poor weather is predicted to roll in around 1 p.m. in the afternoon bringing with it 1-3 inches of snow which will mix with rain overnight. 2-4 inches is expected in total.
