Party, position seeking: Democrat — Board of Assessment Appeals

Family information: I live in West Simsbury and have one son now working in the British Virgin Islands. 

Occupation: Retired. In my career I managed mutual funds and hedge funds that invested globally in stocks, fixed income, currencies, and commodities.

Political experience: This is the first time I have run for political office.

Other experience: I am a member of the Simsbury-Granby Rotary Club and participate in Hartford Scholars Program at the University of Hartford.

Statement: I wish to appeal for your vote for board of assessment appeals on the Democratic ticket. For most people, their home is their most valuable asset. In my career in the financial investment field, I was consistently called on to judge absolute and relative financial values to make appropriate decisions. In my role on the board of assessment appeals, I pledge to commit to fairness for all citizens appealing to the board.
