Name: Larry Boardman

Age: 64

Family information: Larry has been married to his high school sweetheart, Carol, for 42 years. They have two married children and one 9-year-old grand- daughter. Larry and Carol moved to Simsbury 11 years ago. They share their home with four rescued cats and a rescued Chihuahua named Ruby.

Occupation: Larry is the retired CEO of an internet marketing company he started in 1998. His background is in engineering, business planning, marketing, and sales. His “retirement” business, for the last seven years, has been operating Classic Wheels LLC, a collector vehicle appraisal business.

Political experience: This is his first public office campaign.

Other experience: His applicable experience comes as a director on the boards of both private and charitable organizations.

Statement: Larry has a special fondness for preserving history. He is a professional certified appraiser for antique and collectible vehicles and is active in many local organizations including the non-profit Valley Collector Car Club. It is easy to spot him around town, both his daily driver and his antique car license plates read “Car Guy”.
