On a beautiful, sunny day hundreds of people lined the streets of Tariffville and Simsbury for the 2012 Memorial Day parades.

In Tariffville, the community got an early start with a parade beginning on Winthrop Street and commencing at the Tariffville Cemetery for memorial ceremonies.

In Simsbury, Hopmeadow Street was fully lined with parade goers by 1 p.m. The parade, which began at the intersection of Hopmeadow Street and Iron Horse Boulevard at 1:30 p.m. ended in front of Eno Memorial Hall for ceremonies.
