Simsbury: Don't Forget to Pay Your Taxes

Simsbury residents have until Feb. 1 to pay taxes without a penalty.

Submitted by the Simsbury Tax Collector's office

Simsbury taxes were due January 1, 2013

The last day to pay taxes without a penalty is February 1, 2013. (Postmarks of February 1, 2013 will be accepted.)

Taxes due at this time are for the second installment on real estate and personal property on any business.  Those bills were mailed out last June.

Supplemental motor vehicle taxes were mailed out December 22, 2012 and are due January 1, 2013 with the last day without a penalty by February 1, 2013.

Supplemental motor vehicle bills are for cars that were newly registered after October 1, 2011 but before August 2, 2012.  By state law, failure to receive a tax bill does not exempt you from paying taxes.

If paying by mail, send the tax department portion of the bill, with a check payable to:

Tax Collector-Simsbury
PO Box 415
Woburn MA 01888-4156

Tax payments can be made in person at the Tax Office.  Bring the entire bill with you.

Payments can be made on-line at www.simsbury-ct.gov/tax

To pay with an electronic check it’s FREE.  There is a fee to pay with a debit/credit card.

Office hours are Mondays 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Monday January 21, 2013 Town Hall is closed for Martin Luther King Day.

Tuesday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
