Simsbury Republicans Support Mitt Romney in Primary

Despite a low voter turnout, local Republicans chose the GOP frontrunner

It's official. Simsbury Republicans chose frontrunner Mitt Romney in Tuesday's primary election.

Here are the official results of the Republican Presidential Primary in Simsbury:

Total votes cast: 746 (14.5 percent of 5,084 registered republicans)

Mitt Romney: 538

Ron Paul: 79

Newt Gingrich: 73

Rick Santorum: 45

Uncommitted: 9
