Simsbury Seeking Volunteers for Design Review Board

Qualified residents are asked to apply for appointment.

The Town of Simsbury is looking for volunteers with architecture, landscape or construction experience to serve on its Design Review Board. The board is responsible for evaluating land use and building applications.

According to a notice on the town website, the Design Review board will:

1.   Advise the Zoning Commission via reports on each application for non-residential development; and

2.   Advise the Planning Commission on best land use planning practices in the Planning Commission’s work in adopting or updating the Simsbury Plan of Conservation and Development.

To be considered, send a recommendation and a resume and/or letter explaining your qualifications recommendations to the Zoning Commission in the Land Use Office in Town Hall by Sept. 20. Recommendations may come from respective political Town Committees, directly from an unaffiliated individual, or from an existing DRB member.
