Supports Jeff Blumenthal for Board of Selectmen

by Larry Rubin

I would like to take this opportunity to inform your readers about Jeff Blumenthal who is running for Selectman in Simsbury in this special March 1 election. I’d like to set aside the political party for a moment and tell you about the person Jeff is.

I’ve known Jeff for the past 10 years when our paths crossed from volunteer teaching young elementary students and then teaching a class of seventh graders together. Over the years I witnessed his hard work and dedication to these children while he progressively taught the program for these young students whom many are now just graduating college. Jeff was the type of teacher who is very prepared for his classes, had done his homework and engaged everyone. He earned a stellar teaching reputation from students and parents and had the highest respect from the other faculty.

I am an executive recruiter accustomed to selecting the very best candidates for critical positions. Work ethic and family values always play a key role in selecting the best candidate. Jeff worked relentlessly on this volunteer position and I believe that same dedication will carry over to the Board of Selectman position if you elect him. It is very clear to me that from all Jeff’s volunteering efforts he’s extremely dedicated to community, hard working and very ethical.
