Town of Simsbury Director of Finance-Treasurer Resigning Position

The Town of Simsbury announced today that Mary Ann Harris, who has served as the Town’s Director of Finance-Treasurer since July, 2011 is resigning her position to pursue other business opportunities.  At the request of the Town, Harris has agreed to remain in her position until the end of November to provide the Town with time to recruit a replacement.

 “We are grateful to Mary Ann for her service to the Town and wish her the best,” said First Selectman Mary Glassman, noting that Ms. Harris had completed a successful bond refinancing initiative during her first year and had also helped to prepare budgets with minimal cost increases in Fiscal Years 2013 and 2014.

 The Town’s Board of Selectmen and Board of Finance will immediately commence a search for a successor to Ms. Harris.
