Town of Simsbury Hires New Communications Coordinator

The town of Simsbury continues efforts to increase community communication.

Shortly after launching a brand new website, the town of Simsbury has taken another step towards increasing communication with residents and press by hiring a part-time communications coordinator.

Anni Kelleher, a Canton resident, will now be handling communication responsibilities that will include website maintenance, drafting press releases, and drafting other town correspondence.

Kelleher will only be working for the town two days each week—Monday and Wednesday. Kelleher, a writer and mother of four children, has written 13 science fiction novels and a short story and has worked in corporate communication in the past.

And as a writer, Kelleher said working in the center of town politics is just where she'd like to be.

"This is an incredible place to be, it's where everything happens," Kelleher said.
