What's Open, What's Closed on Thanksgiving
Today is an official federal holiday.
November 24 is Thanksgiving. State and local government offices are closed and mail will not be delivered, but as you know, many, many businesses are open:
- Simsbury Town Hall: Town offices are closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 24 and 25
- Simsbury Public Library: Closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 24 and 25
- Simsbury Public Schools: Closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 24 and 25
- Banks: Closed Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, open Friday, Nov. 25
- U.S. Postal Service: Closed Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, open Friday, Nov. 25
- State government offices: Closed
- State courts: Closed
- Liquor stores: Closed Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, open Friday, Nov. 25
- Supermarkets: Many open, check hours
- Retail stores: Many open, check hours
