Central School Students Perform for McLean Residents

SIMSBURY, CT—Central Elementary School students from Simsbury, under the direction of Sarah Blanchard and Audrey Lesieur, recently presented a program for the residents at McLean.

The Central Singers performed traditional folk songs and Broadway musical hits, followed by classical instrumental selections by advanced students on the flute, oboe, violin, and cello.

Students then had an opportunity to visit with the residents, discovering that some of the residents were former Central School students and teachers themselves. After the performance, the PTO treated students to ice cream at J. Foster’s to celebrate all of their hard work throughout the year.
