It’s a Book Lover's Summer for Adults at the Simsbury Public Library

Booklovers! As part of the Summer Reading Program at the Simsbury Public Library, all adults are invited to drop in at the Friends Café on the upper level on Thursday nights in July and August from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Be ready to share your favorite books and exchange reading ideas with other booklovers. All through the summer, staff will maintain a display of “Staff Picks” - their favorite fiction and non-fiction works which the public is welcome to check out. Additionally, the Library will provide lists of books made into movies, lists according to genre, and lists of favorite audio books.

Adults will receive a $1 gift certificate to the Friends Annual Book Sale September 10&11 for every book they share through posted book reviews. Also, each time participants log a title into their reading accounts, their name will be entered for the final raffle. So someone who reads 10 books will have 10 chances to win a Kindle from Amazon.

All adult summer reading participants are invited to the grand finale on Thursday August 25, 4-6 p.m. which will feature entertainment from the teen summer workshops and the grand prize drawings.
