The Art of Recording Life Stories — A Workshop with Mary Mitchell

Mary Mitchell believes in the value of recording your life story and the stories of others in your family. In this workshop she will help you explore the use of journals, genealogy methods, oral history, email, and audio and video recorders.

She also will share experiences she had while writing and self-publishing books of her own life story, her husband Walter’s, and a workbook to guide others through the process. If you want to start a life-story project or to return to one you have put on hold, this workshop is just the boost you need.

Among the places Mitchell has given workshops are the Indian River Genealogy Society in Vero Beach, Florida; Avon Free Public Library; and the McLean Home. She is slated to give one at the University of Connecticut’s School of Social Work.
