Westminster School to Hold "First Look" Program for Fall 2012 Admissions

Westminster School is hosting a “First Look” admissions program May 19 at 7 p.m. for families interested in fall 2012 enrollment.

During this informal program, prospective students and their parents will tour the school’s new 85,000-square-foot academic center, meet teachers and students, and explore academic and extracurricular programs.  The school is known for its small class sizes, strong sense of community, easy student access to teachers for one-on-one interaction, culture of caring, and array of student leadership opportunities.

Westminster is a diverse community of 392 students, two-thirds boarding and one-third day, and 86 faculty members. Students represent 26 states and 21 countries.  The school’s rigorous academic program includes 23 AP classes, a teacher-to-student ratio of 5:1, and honors, elective and independent study courses. The academic program is comparable to those offered at much larger schools and is enhanced by an extensive afternoon program and extracurricular activities. Each year, approximately $3.6 million in financial aid is awarded.
