Gift Given to Hockey Program
The gift was accepted by the board of education at a recent meeting.
The board of education approved a gift of $8,000 from the Friends of Simsbury Hockey to the Simsbury High School ice hockey program. The donation of will be used to maintain and enhance the ice hockey program for both boys and girls at the high school.
The board has to formally accepted gifts of more than $1,500 from the public to keep in compliance with board of education policy.
